Serving Your Community

A great way to serve those in your community is to volunteer at a soup kitchen, homeless shelter or church that has a kitchen. Many of these organizations serve holiday meals to those who are less fortunate and do not have a hot meal to eat. Look up in your local phone book for organizations that serve meals to the less fortunate. Give them a call and see if they could use your help by serving a meal or donating food. The public tends to only remember the less fortunate and hungry in December. Remember, these people are hungry all year long. Organizations that serve meals do it all year. They are always in need of volunteers and food donations. Volunteer to serve a meal weekly.
