Jesus Christ’s Mission

The relationship each of us has with our savior is personal. To describe who and what Jesus Christ means personally within one’s heart and soul is difficult. Eventually the capabilities of any language to do this adequately are exhausted.

I can tell you He is Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God and the son of man. He is the prophesied Messiah of the Old Testament and in the New Testament He is described as the being that is both fully human and divine. He is the chief cornerstone and foundation of Christianity. While here on earth, He was a teacher, prophet and without a doubt a very good man. But, what has Jesus Christ done for me and how has He had an effect on my life?

Jesus Christ has performed a miracle in my life and my life will never be the same again. I have the ability to love someone I have never seen with my eyes, touched with my hands or heard with my ears. However, I still love Him with all my heart, mind, soul and strength. He made this miracle possible because He loved me first.

I know Jesus is my savior and soon coming King, but it is my desire that every human being will have the opportunity to experience the miracle of Jesus Christ. “While we were yet sinners Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8), “when we were enemies” (v. 10) and not yet friends, Jesus laid down His life for us. Certainly the giving of His life on the stake for all humanity was the greatest example of the greatest love, which can be shown.

As Christians it is our responsibility to introduce Him to our world by using words that one can easily understand. This issue explores Christ’s life—who He is, what He did and what He expects of us.
