When my children were little, I would play “peek-a-boo” with them. At sometime in one’s life, I am pretty certain everyone has played this game. My children would giggle and gleefully play this game over and over.

The charade of hiding ones face was played with much pleasure. It gave me delight to see my children have a good time and enjoy such a simple game.
Do we sometimes play games with God? There is no doubt God wants everyone to enjoy life, but He does not want us to hide or walk away from responsibility. When playing the “peek-a-boo” game with God, it may not seem like a game at all. But putting one’s own desires first and giving excuses for neglecting one’s God-given talents can be a destructive game. Women, do not de-emphasize your potential through unhealthy comparisons to other women or men. Do not think you are off the hook because you are a woman and therefore cannot minister to others. You are a one-of-a kind creation. God is patiently waiting for you to develop the skills He has given you, so in due time He will be able to put you to work for Him. The enormity of gifts, talents and opportunities God has put within each woman’s reach is amazing. The ministry of Jesus Christ was about redeeming love and our Savior; Jesus Christ showed women tremendous love. He healed, befriended, debated and included women in His ministry. Think for a moment about the world Jesus lived in, it will help you appreciate how important women were to Him then and certainly are today. I pray the following articles inspire and encourage every woman to take her place in serving God, family and community. Please take the time to read both the articles for women and for men. You may be surprised by what you learn.
