Every relationship worth having, requires time to develop. The deeper the relationship one desires, the more time given to it. One’s relationship with God the Father is no different. It requires that time be spent with Him in prayer and Bible study. There are no shortcuts.

The story of the woman at the well in John 4:1-26 reveals that just as our bodies thirst, so do our souls. The soul needs spiritual food and water. If you find you are a thirsty Christian that feels unfulfilled and empty, it could be you are failing to drink regularly from His Word.

There have been times in my walk with Christ, that I have felt like I was stagnating and thirsting for change. My life was full of worry and it didn’t seem like change in my life was happening fast enough. When I began to set-aside regular time for prayer and Bible study, my love for His Word deepened and my heart was transformed. It is easy to look good on the outside, but to change one’s heart takes true commitment. In order to conform the heart to the will of God, one needs to have a deeper relationship with Him.

The only way to be transformed is to read and study the Bible, meditate upon it and pray daily. Romans 12:1-2 speaks to this very fact. The following articles discuss the importance of prayer, Bible study, meditation and fasting. It is my prayer that these articles will give you the necessary tools to help motivate you to draw closer to God.

Sincerely,

Noni
