What has worship got to do with character? How can character be built through worship? Worship and character seem to most of us to be two different areas of teaching. John 4:23 reveals God seeks in us the character of a true worshipper!
Does God keep His promises? Is there proof to justify the belief that He keeps His promises, or do we have to rely on blind faith that He will do what He tells us in His Word?
“If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the Promise” (Galatians 3: 29). What a wonderful statement this is and believe it or not, there are many who do not understand it. This was written primarily for the Gentile-born converts in Galatia: By giving Christians this “Promise” God has made a formal pledge indicating we are heirs.
The answer to that question is: definitely yes! The widely-known John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.“
Hebrews 11 is probably one of the best-known chapters in the Bible because it is God’s Hall of Faith. Of the seventeen great people of God listed in this chapter only two are women. While both Sarah, Abraham’s wife and Rahab, the Jericho prostitute are distinctly different they have something very much in common. They are both women of faith.
With every election come campaign promises from candidates who know the person who wins is the one who promises the most. Unfortunately, the general public has grown to believe campaign promises are nothing but campaign rhetoric. Unlike man’s promises, God’s promises are absolute. God’s record of keeping His promises is perfect.
Is marriage a fading tradition with no real meaning in this modern world? Is it becoming obsolete? Why should people commit to marriage if the divorce rate is so high? We need to understand why marriage is so important to God.
God created Adam and Eve, with thoughts of companionship, family, and future generations. These are heavenly things and blessings of God. Having children is a large part of our society and a blessing from God as a natural growth of families and mankind. What if we can’t have children or do not wish to have children? Does this mean we are ungodly or not blessed?
