Please remember to pray for the health issues of: Ron Dart, Jack and Carol McPherson, Faye Brown, Weldie Meador, and James Pollitte, minister and CGI Board member. Mr. Pollitte will be having ablation therapy this afternoon (Firday, 5/18) to correct his heart rhythm.
Virtuous Women's Conference, June 8th - 10th
The CGI is co-sponsoring a women's conference with the Tulsa Church of God that's going to be held in Tulsa, OK. The conference is open to women in all COG groups, and their invited guests and is FREE to attend. An invitation is being extended to "our" ladies to plan now for this special conference. If anyone needs travel assistance or has other questions, please contact Nancy White, or Karen Weese. Sabbath School Memory Verse
We are very excited to implement a memory verse each week into our Sabbath school lessons. When the children are ready they may say their memory verse to any of the Sabbath school teachers. We hope this will be a fun way for the children to memorize scriptures. We will try to post the scripture the kids are learning each week in the bulletin. All of the adults of the congregation can play an important role in helping the children to reach their memory verse goals. We encourage each of you to provide supportive enthusiasm to the children as they work on their memory verses. Saying, “we are proud that you are making an effort to learn scriptures” or “it is great that you are learning scriptures, that is very important” and things like that would not only help the kids feel good about this goal, it would also provide support to our Sabbath school teachers. In addition, this would make the children understand that they are important to the church and give each of you a role in their Christian growth. Thank you.
