A shepherd watches over his sheep. He finds them safe and pastures to feed upon. He watches over them and protects them from harm. He nurses them back to health when they become sick or hurt. The sheep know their shepherd and are comforted when he is with them. They respond to his voice. They trust him.


"I am the good shepherd; and I know
My sheep and am known by My own."
